The thermometer does not connect

If your thermometer does not connect to the app, follow these steps:

General Troubleshooting (For IPro Thermometer Only):

1. Check the thermometer’s charge.

2. Shake the thermometer and observe the light:

Blinking twice per second: Searching for a connection.

Blinking once per second: Already connected to another device.

3. Ensure the app is up-to-date by checking your app store.

4. Check if the thermometer is possibly connected to another device.

The thermometer may not connect to the app the first time you try. The best course of action is to force the app to close and disconnect the bluetooth connection.

Steps for iOS Devices:

1. Force close the app:

• Devices with a Home Button: Quickly press the Home Button twice and swipe the app away.

• Devices without a Home Button: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause. Then swipe the app away.

2. Reset Bluetooth:

• Go to Settings > Bluetooth.

• Find your thermometer in the paired devices list and tap Forget This Device (if applicable).

• Turn Bluetooth off and back on.

3. Enable Location Services:

• Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and ensure it is turned on.

4. Reopen the app:

• Tap the menu button (three lines in the top-left corner).

• Select Connect Thermometer.

• Shake the thermometer (IPro) or unfold it (Thermapen Blue).

• Select your thermometer from the list and tap Connect.

 

Steps for Android Devices:

1. Force close the app:

• Go to Settings > Apps (or Application Manager).

• Select the LD Control app and tap Force Stop.

2. Reset Bluetooth:

• Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.

• Find your thermometer in the paired devices list and tap the gear icon or exclamation mark to Unpair.

3. Enable Location Settings:

• Go to Settings > Location and turn on all location settings.

4. Reopen the app:

• Tap the menu button (three lines in the top-left corner).

• Select Connect Thermometer.

• Shake the thermometer (IPro) or unfold it (Thermapen Blue).

• Select your thermometer from the list and tap Connect.

 

If the Issue Persists:

If your thermometer still does not connect, there may be an issue with the device. Contact support for further assistance.
